Yuji, as a CIO/CDO executive in global manufacturing companies, as well as an IT service vendor executive, has been exposed to various technologies and the usage of semiconductors, networks, IT devices, applications, cloud services, and now AI and data science. He also advises various companies on transformation and Change Management.
He started his career at NEC Corporation, where he took charge of NEC’s global IT services business. In 2012, he joined Konica Minolta, where he managed worldwide digital transformation (DX) initiatives. In 2022, he was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation, leading the entire group’s digital transformation. He served as a director and chairman of multiple companies in several countries, as well as a member of various committees under the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), the Cabinet Office, and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Away from work, he is an active tennis and golf player, and enjoys biking and skiing in the mountains. Every day, he enjoys spending time with his Border-Collie.
